A third example proffered by Certified
  Asset Management International is an
  1896 Morgan $1 PF 68 ULTRA
CAMEO NGC, with estimated value of
  $35,000, Higgins elaborates further,
  “As the 1890s unfolded, the
  Philadelphia Mint seemed to master
  their technique in producing proof
  silver coins. Many show exceptional
frost and pristine surfaces, as the
  collectors also learned how to
  maintain the surfaces without
cleaning their coins. Today some of
these 1890s silver coins are simply
stunning for their colorful tones and
superb surfaces. This example is one of 6 with
the Star designation with only 1 certified higher
  in NGC.”
This 50th annual show features over 200 dealers
in US and world coins, currency, stamps,
  ancients, jewelry and collectibles, seminars,
supplies, exhibits and young collector activities.
Free numismatic gifts will be given to the first
  300 attendees per day!
The expo will be held March 1-3, 2013 at the
Palace Station Hotel and Casino, 2411 W. Sahara,

Rare Coins Spotlighted at the 50
  th
   Las
  Vegas Numismatic Society Coin Show
The Las Vegas Numismatic Society 50th Anniversary Coin Show
will showcase rare coin and currency dealers from around the
country on March 1-3, 2013. Rare coins spotlighted at the event
include an exceptional 1794 Large Cent MS66 BN Head of 1794
PCGS. There are only 1 of 3 known with estimated value
$200,000, shown courtesy of Leo Frese Coins and Collectibles.
Three coins will also be presented by Certified Asset
  Management International, headlining an 1827 50C PF65
CAMEO NGC, with an estimated value of $125,000. The 1827
Bust Half Dollar was a mintage of only ten coins, and although
there is one NGC coin graded in MS67, this is the only example
  certified as a cameo.
  Also exhibited is a 1929 Saint Gauden’s $20 gold piece in MS65
PCGS estimated at $75,000. PCGS has certified 26 examples in MS65 of
the 1929 Saint Gaudens with only five certified higher.
Robert Higgins, co-president and chief numismatic offer of Certified Asset
Management International, gives the back story of this popular issue, “This
issue starts the beginning of the rare, late date Saint Gaudens Double
Eagles. It is the most obtainable of the group from 1929 to 1932, but is still
very rare and seldom available. The American stock market crashed in
1929 and the world economies sank into depression. Very few of this date
were sent to Europe and many of the survivors seen are the result of some
small hoards that surfaced over the years. A small hoard of 40 coins was
discovered in 1984 in England. With banks failing at alarming rates, it
should be no surprise that many individuals squirreled away some hard
assets. Today, just a few hundred are estimated to have survived the great
gold melts of the 1930s. Most seen can be graded MS 62 to MS 64. Gems
  are very rare.”
